Administrative Support

Supporting Administrators To Positively Impact Academic Goals

Supporting the academic goals of your administration ensures a harmony between your school and your PTO. When we think of the pillars of teamwork, this is where we recommend any PTO begins. Gathering the support of your administration will ensure this support trickles down to parents, teachers, and students. Whether you want to support students or teachers, the first step is always to support the administration. Supporting the administrative goals for your school's academic priorities will have the greatest effects on everyone involved. Complimenting the academic goals of your school will serve to strengthen the learning environment and enhance the reach of the individual abilities represented on the board of your PTO and within the members.

How To Support Your Administrators With Your PTO

Working closely with school administrators ensures that academic goals are being met. When working directly with administration you can be sure that the efforts put forth by your PTO are being put to the best use. If a gap in academics is present, that PTO can support filling this gap in a number of ways. Starting with reaching out to your administration will assist in the facilitation of your efforts in ways that compliment the educational directives of your learning institution. When parents and administrators come together the sense of community created is extended exponentially. By working directly with administrators parents are able to extend the education environment into the home, helping students overcome obstacles and grow at a rapid rate. Additionally, it will ensure that the PTO is not placing efforts and funds into areas that the administration is resolving, and vice versa.

Some of the more common ways to support administrators include:

  • Filling Funding Gaps

  • Extending Resources From School Into Homes

  • Supplementing Specials & Group Activities

  • Arranging Events & Fundraisers

  • Connecting Volunteers To Needed Areas
